This week we learn how to say “Do you like….?” in Spanish.  It’s very simple, it’s just:

¿Te gusta …..? or ¿Te gustan …..?

Here we join it up with some food words such as apples, bananas, cheese, donuts, rice, fish, grapes, hot dogs, pizza, jello (or jelly in England), ketchup, lettuce. Listening to the game, can you figure out with which words we use ¿Te gusta …..? and which we use ¿Te gustan …..?

As usual play around by clicking on the words for a bit, then grab a friend or two on other computers and race to see who can do the game the quickest!  If you can do it 3 times in a row without a mistake you’ll have mastered all the Spanish!

Here’s a fun game to play,  ask a “yes/no” question, pick a card and the fortune teller will tell if the answer is yes or no!  But… you’ll only get the correct answer if you say the question in Spanish!

In Spanish it’s simply “Tengo” (I have)  “Un/dos/tres/cuatro ” (1/2/3/4)  “hermano(s)” (brother(s))

“y” (and) “Una/dos/tres/cuatro ” (1/2/3/4) “hermana(s)” (sister(s)).

Today we learn how to tell the time in Spanish. It’s really quite easy. All you do is to say “las” and the number e.g. las dos for 2 o’clock. First of all play around with the learn numbers game, then…

1. Get a friend to play on another computer,

2. Both start together.

3. Listen to the time, if you don’t know what it is, click on any answer!

4. Eventually you’ll figure out what they all mean and will have learnt the Spanish.

3. Race to see who can finish first!

It’s a lot more fun than learning a list full of numbers, plus you’ll get the pronunciation really well.

Here we learn the four seasons in Spanish.

Spring in Spanish is primavera
Summer in Spanish is verano
Fall (or Autumn) in Spanish is otoño
Winter in Spanish is invierno
